What are we to think about this Abraham Accord

Part 2: originally published in October 2020

The Future of the Middle East

In the first part of this two part series, we looked at how the angel Jibril spoke anciently to both the Jews and the Arabs (at different points in history) and how the Bible can add depth to what the Quran says sometimes, especially where the Quran is silent about prophecy. Finally, we reviewed why the Arab people are largely the ancient people of Israel, who became a separate nation from the “Jews”.

In this second part, we will now look at prophecies that pertain to Arab lands and nations as they could pertain to the newly formed “Abraham Accord”.

Islam and Judeo-Christianity share many of the same nabis or prophets. The more well known ones such as Ibrahim, Musa and Dawud, are undisputed. Other nabis such as Idris or Dhul al-Kifl, are identified with the self-same Jewish prophets, Chanokh and Yechezquel (respectively) but merely with different narratives. As we said in the first part, that doesn’t mean these stories contradict Islam and Judaism. Then there are nabis that are mentioned only by the Jewish scripture that aren’t mentioned by name in the Quran. The ancient sages acknowledge that many Muslim nabis aren’t known by name but were still Islamic nabis nevertheless. Great men do not require fame to be known; they merely have to do the Will of Allah. One contemporary author, Michael Stansfield[1], observes that Islam and Judaism’s prophets are held in common up to the time that ancient Israel split into 2 nations: Israel and Judah. Any nabi that came after that time, roughly 1,350 years B.H., were recorded only by the Jews since Israel ceased to be a nation (and continued their progeny through the Arab people).

New Construction

One such unknown nabi spoke intimately about the Arab people towards the end of history. He said that there will be a highway that goes from central-northern Iraq all the way to the land of Judah (a.k.a. Israel). We all know that before now, there is no way in hell any Arab nation would build a major highway from Iraq to Judah, much less two countries! (it would have to go through Jordan). Nevertheless, the Nabi, Yeshayahu, said the following,

“…YHVH-Elohim will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian Sea [today’s Red Sea]. He will shake his hand over the Parat River [today’s Nahr Al-Furat] to bring a scorching wind, dividing it [the river] into seven streams and enabling people to cross dryshod [by foot]. There will be a highway for the remnant of his people who are still left from Ashur, just as there was for Israel when he came out from the land of Egypt” Yeshayahu sura 11:15-16

There is more than one noteworthy item here. To start with, Ashur refers to the nation that destroyed ancient Israel and took her captive. Ashur is the ancient Assyrian empire which is today’s Iraq and Syria. This nabi was a contemporary who lived through that invasion and spoke hope to the northern Israelites (who were a separate nation-state at that time) that they would return.

They never did!

Now, if you are one who still confuses the term “Jew” and “Israelite” and think they are one and the same, please read on because this is one of the main points of this article…

We ALL know there are no more Jews who live in either Iraq or Syria today. That’s why Islam had to remove Jews from almost all Arab lands – so that Arabs could see for themselves who they really are! The Quran gives some narrative of their past but it doesn’t record the massive influx of ancient Israelites who became a part of their culture who eventually became Arabic Muslims. The above passage says that Israelites will be going back to the land of Israel and since there are ONLY Arabs living in Arabic countries, by default, it must speak of Arabs! As you also know, no Arabs are presently allowed to make Aliyah (to become a resident) to the State of Judah (today’s Israel). The present Abraham Accord will eventually change that: it is about creating cultural, religious and economic exchange.

If that wasn’t enough, this same nabi in the same surah says exactly from which countries the Arab (-Israelites) will come:

“On that day, YHVH-Elohim will raise his hand again, a second time, to reclaim the remnant of his people who remain from Ashur, Egypt (the lower delta), Patros (upper Egypt), Ethiopia, Elam (Iran), Shinar (central Iraq), Hamat (western Syria) and the islands in the sea.”, surah 11:11

I boldened the word “second” above because one can say (and some detractors will) that some ancient Israelites did return to Israel a long time ago. Only a few did. This must be emphasized because it was mostly the Jews who returned from captivity anciently. This says that Israelites will return to the state of Judah from every direction in the Middle East, including some future highway that will be built from Iraq to Judah.

A new Alliance and Axis

Even though presently only two Arab countries have signed a peace accord with the state of Judah, there will be many, many more. This author predicts if not the whole Arab League, then most Arab states will become a member of this Accord, specifically, Sunni Muslim states! Why??

The Shiite sect has always been at odds with the orthodoxy of Sunni Islam. That fact has become more evident in this era ever since the rise of the Imam Khomeini in 1979. This is not going to go away because another nabi, the one we keep returning to from previous articles, the Jewish one who first made known Allah to ancient Babylon and the entire Middle East (see our article on “Allah in the Bible” for reference to this nabi): this nabi Daniel gives us clues in surah 11 of Daniel that there will be a “southern alliance” of some sort, someday in the not too distant future. This alliance will act like a unified kingdom and they will be constantly at war with a “northern alliance” or kingdom that will be led either by Iran or Europe or both!! The southern alliance will include the state of Judah.

This is all a very, very large subject that will require many more articles to explain since none of this exists presently. Know this readers: the future of the Arabic people are locked up in days long, long gone by in a book that even Allah said were “His books” (surah 4:136). Inshallah, we will discuss these in greater detail in the future.
